I just wanted to let you know that the therapy has been working very well for me. I decided to start dieting a couple of weeks ago and have to say that the work we did together has been very effective. I've only deviated twice in the past two weeks - a sip of soda and a handful of fries - hardly mortal sins! I've dropped 12 pounds so far and I am already feeling better. When I walked through the door of A New You, I had no idea what to expect. I thought I knew what hypnotism was about but, in fact, I was clueless. The one thing I DID KNOW was that I had reached my wits end about losing weight and getting control over emotional eating. I felt like I'd probably bomb on this program too but what the heck, I'll give it one last shot.
After five weeks in the program, I can't believe how my outlook has changed. I no longer am at the mercy of every wind that blows. I am taking back my life. "I have struggled with weight my whole life. I have dieted off and on with mixed results. I have always gained the weight back plus more. I began hypnosis on April 29th, and today is July 7, 2009. I am very pleased to see I have lost a total of 27 inches in these few weeks. I feel so relaxed and energized, and am extremely comfortable with all aspects of the program. My mood has improved 100%, and my ability to deal with stress without eating as an escape enables me to continue on the positive path.
I listen to the Quick Tips CDs in my car daily and do the hypnosis exercise (CDs) also. I eat healthy foods, and make healthy choices, even during turmoil around me. I began exercising one minute at a time, then 5, now I exercise 30 minutes a day. I am also very active daily. This is amazing-quite a transformation from the hopeless, helpless person I was April 28.
I follow the program, which means carving time "for me" out of my daily schedule. I eat slowly and peacefully. I drink 68oz. of water daily. Old habits are gone, replaced by healthy, calm and confident choices and habits.
This is a program which has given me permission to be less than perfect, and because of this, I am grateful and free to make good choices. I am a much healthier, confident person now and my path is one of hope and vision.
I am grateful to Ed and this program for showing me how to find, save and respect myself-as I am today, this very moment, which is a wonderful change and revelation.

16 years ago, I was a professional athlete, after many years of life's trials and tribulations, I'd found myself having gained more than 75lbs. Over time I became reclusive, embarrassed to go out, and just overall ashamed of myself. I'd tried many diets, and some would work, I might lose 20 or 30lbs., then within a few months it'd all be back, plus a few extra.
A colleague told me about hypnosis, and the various uses, and success stories. So I thought I'd give it a try. I went to see Ed in June, now 5 months later, I've lost over 30lbs., and the weight is still coming off. I simply can't say how much I love this program. Please understand this is NOT a diet, in this program I learned to realize, and understand the reasons and issues that led me to over eat, binge eat, comfort eat...Etc.. In this program, those issues are addressed, not ignored. Once this is understood, an entire life style change happens. I WANTED to eat healthy foods, to eat correct portion sizes, greatly limit sweets etc....If I had to describe this program in one word it would be "CONTROL". I can honestly say for the first time in 20 years, I truly feel that I have control, I control what I eat, how much I eat, how and when I exercise. These things are no longer an internal struggle. I truly have control over myself. This in turn has led to a huge boost in my energy, confidence and self esteem.
I've found this program is a great stress relief in all aspects of my life, so many areas of my life have had positive benefits. I've actually taken 8 strokes off my golf score as well, on the course I feel so much more relaxed, confident and positive.
This program has changed my life, and allowed me to take back control of my life.
Let me tell you about my experience with hypnotherapy with Ed Lane. My personal issue is weight loss and my story is probably the same as many others: I was always thin, always active and always had a decent shape. Then life happened, including a bad first marriage. And following menopause, my shape changed completely. For years I kept ahead by over-exercising and martial arts, then later in life I took up hula dancing. But I was unhappy with my weight and size, and gradually my attitude and even my posture changed to one of "don't look at me; I'm hideous."
I decided to try hypnotherapy, and met Ed Lane. From our first meeting, he was welcoming, encouraging, positive and upbeat, and absolutely sure that I could do whatever I set my mind to do.
It's been nearly four months now, and my clothes fit better, and I like what I see in the mirror. I make good food choices, drink plenty of water, get great sleep, and exercise often. You need to know that I do make bad food choices from time to time (I'm not perfect), but I can forgive myself and go on. Unlike times past, I wake up each day with renewed hope, and I KNOW that I will eventually reach my goals. Lots of positive things have happened in my life, and I now have the tools I need to manage my moods and my appetite.
The CD's and sessions are wonderful, and the entire experience is life changing! I stand and walk confidently, my old jeans fit, I absolutely radiate confidence and joy, and it's a lot easier for me to see the good in people and situations.
This change is happening just the way I wanted it to: slow, steady, and inch-by-inch, pound by pound. THIS WORKS. I am living proof of what hypnotherapy and a great hypnotherapist can do. I love the way Ed starts his sessions with me: "What went RIGHT?"
I'm just a plain old ordinary person, but the changes in me are anything but ordinary, and now I consider myself extraordinary. Don't give up; give this a try and be patient with the process. The time is going to go by whether you do this or not--why not let it pass while you are taking steps each day toward your goal? And when you do, please know that I and many others are walking with you.

I had seen you back in the beginning of January for a fear of flying. I just wanted to update you since I just got back from my long trip to Hawaii. I was feeling slightly anxious a few days before I left because I was not sure how my body was going to react without being able to take zanax on the flight. I did the hypnosis CD you gave me for the week before my trip and tried to stay calm and do my breathing. Well my flight to Hawaii was pretty turbulent but I did my breathing techniques and watched a movie and did very good. The way back from Hawaii was VERY turbulent, but I was able to remain calm and did not have a panic attack or anxiety attack, I listened to my hypnosis CD and I focused on that and did my breathing. I am pretty sure my fear of flying went right out the window after that flight!. I realized that I can breathe through it and nothing bad is going to happen to me. I now feel like I have great tools to deal with stressful situations when they arise. I feel more comfortable and confident about flying.

My mind has been clear for a while now and life seems to be smooth sailing. Dealing with situations has gotten a lot easier and when I feel like its turning into a rollercoaster, I just try my hardest to stay on the positive side of things. We both work hard now on pulling each other out of a slump instead of letting it get us down. Life isn't so bad when you don't let the negativity consume you! Thank You for helping me quit smoking once and for all! I just wanted to let you know it has been three years since I last smoked a cigarette. Ed....I just wanted to give you an update. It has been close to 10 weeks since I first saw you and I would like to tell you that when I first came there, my weight was 205-206lbs., as of this AM, I am 181-182.
